Right after an amazing tractor or horse back ride, our expert guides will welcome you at the entrance of Cataratas Wildlife Refuge, to take you on a rich natural history walk of 850 meters through our trails to the starting platform. After all of the security lectures and a fun demonstration by our guides, you will start a unique experience on a life time, such as descending 80 meters next to an amazing waterfall.After the 80 meters rappelling, you can climb up the wall or return by a trail walk. Once at the top again you can either go back walking or even faster, jumping on a 360 meters cable that will put you back in the Station in just 10 seconds!!!

CANOPY TOUR.
This excursion starts in two different ways; whether it be comfortably seated in an tractor cart, that lasts about 20 minutes, or horse back riding approximately 45 minutes, after we arrive at the observation deck we start a 30 to 45 minute natural history walk where you will see and learn about the tropical ecosystems though one of our specialized guides.Once you are at the first cable, we start the zip line course using high quality equipment which is constantly checked and renewed to ensure its safety and good condition. Our cables are located in such a way that they start from platforms at ground level ensuring that if a tree did fall it will not produce any time laps in the tour.  The cables, 10 in total, span lengths of 200 meters up to the longest of 800 meters; each cable offers a different sensation and experience crossing canyons, observing waterfalls, over the tops of trees or leaving from a spectacular OBSERVATION TOWER 18 meters high. The Fortuna and Pino Blanco waterfalls, along with the majestic Arenal Volcano accompany us on this trek. What to bring: Long pants. Tie on shoes or hiking shoes. Insect repellent. SAFARI FLOAT IN PEÑAS BLANCAS RIVER.

This amazing underground cave was discovered by the Guatuzos Aborigines and was formed by limestone rocks, stalactites, stalagmites and corals. HANGING BRIDGES
Puentes Colgantes also Known as the Hanging Bridges may be one of the most beautiful environmental projects in Costa Rica. It is a series of paths and bridges located in the vicinity of the Arenal Volcano. It is located directly in the path of birds migrating between north and south America making this area a bird watchers paradise. Covering an area of 250 hectares of primary rainforest it offers views of the Arenal Volcano as well as Lake Arenal. This 3.1 kilometer walk with 8 fixed bridges and 6 hanging bridges was build t with the latest technology for safety and comfort as well as respect for the environment. ARENAL VOLCANO SUNSET WALK
Our hike takes you to the active side of the volcano where our naturalist guide will take through rain forest trails for a nice and gentle hike where you can see a great diversity of flora and fauna and animals such as, monkeys, toucans, iguanas, plenty of birds and sometimes snakes. Once we arrive at the observation point we will be able to hear and feel the deep rumbling that precedes occasional eruptions of steam, smoke and molten lava. At night if it is not to cloudy the show is even more incredible as views red lava and huge rocks glowing against the black sky. While watching the volcano and taking pictures, our guide will share some information and history about the area and the volcano’s activity. Then we will continue our way down to the exotic and relaxing Hot Springs nearby, to sit back and relax in the volcanic water and sooth every aching muscle.

LA FORTUNA WATER FALL HORSE BACK RIDING
This is a good combination of horseback ride and hike and a beautiful stage. Those are trained horses that will take you until the entrance of the waterfall through pastures, forest and tall hills. The views of the Valley of San Carlos and the tropical forest that enclose it are spectacular. At the end of the road, we will leave the horses and we will descend walking for a natural trail until the base of the waterfall.This fantastic area is very quiet and special to relax and swimming for a while.Includes: Entrance to the waterfall, horses, local guide. CHATO HILL EXPEDITION.
We begin the journey transferring us from La Fortuna around the Arenal Volcano to get to the hotel "Observatory Lodge," there we start the hike toward the summit of Chato Hill through a very dense primary forest. When we arrived up we go to visit the lagoon on the top, where you can swim besides taking photos and discover the surroundings. Then, we continue descending, always enclosed of a very dense forest, where you could appreciate birds, plants, animals, insects and immense trees, as well enjoy the sensation of liberty have in a beautiful views of the San Carlos Valley as well as of the Arenal Volcano. The end of the walk will be in La Fortuna Waterfall, where we will descend again in order to arrive on the dot base of it and enjoy a beautiful natural landscape that makes it very special. CAÑO NEGRO WILD LIFE REFUGE BY CANOE .
The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is considered one of the richest sites in the continent for the observation of birds. Beside an abundance of birds, Caño Negro is also refuge of many other animals like: sloth’s, three types of monkeys, caimans, lizards, bats, and a variety of native flora of the wet land. Our tour to this beautiful region, leaves from La Fortuna, driving for about an hour and a half until Los Chiles, which is a rustic town that meets to only five kilometers of the border of Nicaragua, it is here where we take the boat down to Río Frío for about three hours. From the beginning of the trip, our professional guide will explain each one of the plantations that we will see on the way, as well as the flora and fauna of the region.
